Dr. Abigail Schmucker is a hospitalist, or physician that specializes in managing the care of patients within the hospital. Dr. Schmucker practices at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.  She joined the Division in 2025 and currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine. Her interests include geriatric medicine, medical education, research, QI/patient safety. Additionally, she speaks Spanish.

Dr. Schmucker earned her medical degree from the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University and completed her Internal Medicine residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
