Laura El-Hage, MD

Assistant Professor

Dr. Laura El-Hage is a Med-Peds hospitalist, or physician that specializes in managing the care of patients within the hospital.  Dr. El-Hage practices at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as a pediatric hospitalist. She also works on the Adult Care Transition team (ACTT) to assist young adults in their transition from pediatric care to adult systems.  She joined the Section in 2016 and currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine and Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine. She is the Associate Section Chief of pediatric hospital medicine at CHOP and Medical Director of the CHOP Observation Unit.  Her interests include hospital operations, quality improvement, transitions of care and medical education.

Dr. El-Hage earned her medical degree from Saint George's University School of Medicine and completed residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
