Dr. Nelson O. Onyango is a hospitalist or physician that specializes in managing the care of patients within the hospital. Dr. Onyango practices at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. He joined the Section in 2023 and currently serves as an instructor at the Perelman School of Medicine. His interests include medical education, palliative care and gastroenterology. Additionally, he speaks Swahili, Luo and German.
Dr. Onyango earned his medical degree from Penn State College. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Penn State Hershey Medical Center and Children's Hospital.
